Position Summary
Under direct supervision of the College’s General Counsel, this position primarily manages a diverse array of legal matters simultaneously and independently, adeptly balancing multiple priorities and communications with colleagues and clients. Candidates with a strong, diverse legal background, including real-world litigation experience, who can demonstrate the ability to handle various projects will be given strong consideration. The Assistant/Associate General Counsel is further expected to oversee legal matters and transactions from inception to conclusion with minimal direction, offering dynamic, discerning solutions to complex legal issues.
Required Qualifications
Assistant General Counsel: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Law degree from an accredited institution and minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a member of a law firm, non-profit, governmental agency, or the equivalent thereof. Licensed member of the State Bar of Georgia. Associate General Counsel: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Law degree from an accredited institution and minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a member of a law firm, non-profit, governmental agency, or the equivalent thereof.
