  • supporting real estate and facilities attorneys as needed in the Legal Department
  • opening, tracking and maintaining files (both hard files and electronic files)
  • updating databases
  • preparing correspondence and drafting simple legal documents
  • performing other day-to-day administrative duties as needed in support of real estate and facilities attorneys, including typing, maintaining legal files, managing attorney correspondence, and scheduling meetings and
  • supporting the Legal Department with miscellaneous clerical tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 5 years’ experience as a secretary or administrative
  • willingness and ability to work with confidential information and maintain the confidentiality of that information
  • basic computer skills with ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • must have excellent attendance and punctuality record
  • superior time management and organizational skills
  • detail-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines
  • professional telephone etiquette
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel;
  • good clerical skills including typing, faxing, transcribing, and data entry
  • ability to work occasional nights and/or weekends
  • good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and to be a team player)
  • must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work; and
  • commitment to Publix and our Mission.
  • Associates degree in any field
  • Knowledge of legal transactions and related requirements
  • Experience as a legal assistant in a transactional practice
  • Experience in a business or real estate related field
