We are looking for our new Head of Legal, reporting directly to the CFO and working with a team of 5 people, you'll be in charge of helping them grow in their roles and also providing support to the other teams at Skeepers.
Here are some of your responsabilities :
Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team on legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
- Ensure the company adheres to global and local regulations across all operational regions.
Contract Management :
- Develop and maintain/update standard contract templates as well as terms & conditions to streamline legal processes.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts (clients and suppliers), SaaS agreements, licensing and partnership deals.
Risk Management and Compliance :
- Identify and mitigate potential legal and regulatory risks.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR) and industry-specific regulations.
- Lead the development of internal policies and training programs to promote legal awareness and compliance.
Dispute Resolution :
- Manage disputes, litigations and regulatory investigations in collaboration, when needed, with external counsel.
- Represent the company in negotiations, mediations or arbitrations when required.
Team Management :
- Build, lead and mentor the legal team to ensure optimal performance and career development.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other stakeholders.
Requirements- Minimum of 5-8 years of legal experience
- Ability to find the right balance between strict legal protection and business/operational flexibility, e.g. ability to set the right level of acceptable legal risk vs. pure business interests.
- Proven experience in SaaS, technology or software industries is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws, intellectual property, and commercial law.
- Experience in management and negotiation of corporate insurance policies.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
