Reporting to the Head of People and Culture for Amadeus France, part of the P&C local leadership team, the Head of Legal and Employee Relations will be responsible for managing employee relations in France, helping to maintain high-quality social dialogue. This role, with a team of 2 representatives, will develop and maintain a healthy regulatory environment while supporting the achievement of Amadeus business plans.

(We have offices located in Paris, Strasbourg, and Nice which is our main site! We are committed to supporting relocation to our Nice office so that you can join our +70 People and Culture team members.)

You Will:

Managing Social Relations:

  • Build strategies and plans to maintain a high-quality social dialogue and to support the business goals.
  • Schedule the various annual meetings with employee representative bodies: CSE, CSSCT (health, safety and working conditions committee), CSE committees, RDP (local representatives) meetings, etc.
  • Inform and consult the various staff representative bodies on major company projects.
  • Lead negotiations with social partners including 4 Unions and ensure that the agreements reached are properly implemented.
  • Organize professional elections.

Managing the Labor Councils Team and Supporting Compliance:

  • Monitor social issues (legislative, regulatory, and collective bargaining framework) and identify measures to adjust plans.
  • Be a key partner to the overall People and Culture community in social relations and employment matters (advice on employment law, individual or collective cases, litigation, conflict management, new projects, etc.) to raise education, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Guide a team of 2 internal lawyers from goal definition to individual development.
  • Supervise all activity on social relations to maintain a healthy social dialogue and support acceptance of business projects.
  • Oversee all the upstream and/or downstream aspects of individual cases or projects: preparation of cases, specific studies on social issues, monitoring of projects.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bac +5 in French labor law/employment law, IEP or equivalent.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in driving social bodies including heading negotiations in a French legal entity part of a global company, ideally an IT company.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal. Fluent in French. Both languages will be used on a daily basis.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, collaborative.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Confidence and thoroughness.
