A dynamic leader for our legal strategy and regulatory compliance, someone who can advise on a wide range of legal issues, in the changing landscape of cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi). You have a strong interest in bringing Real World Assets to Crypto with experience working closely with the SEC and securities law.
Lead all legal aspects of the business, focusing on regulatory compliance with U.S. securities laws (especially SEC regulations) and international jurisdictions.
Advise executive leadership on legal and regulatory risks associated with blockchain and crypto projects, including real-world assets (RWAs) tokenization.
Collaborate with external product and engineering teams to ensure the legal robustness of the ecosystem’s DeFi offerings.
Develop and maintain company policies for compliance with evolving regulations in the blockchain space.
Oversee external legal partnerships and manage litigation as necessary.
Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
8+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on SEC regulations and securities law.
Deep understanding of U.S. financial regulations, especially as they pertain to crypto and blockchain.
Willingness to learn and adapt to the rapidly changing cryptocurrency landscape.
Experience in advising startups or tech companies is preferred.
